Dear Friends and Customers
Some of you will know that my husband Dick's Alzheimer's has deteriorated considerably.
The shop and more importantly what goes along with running a shop behind the scenes has
made me re-think my life.
Life has become increasingly difficult, battling with the Primary Health Care Trust and
Social Services to get the appropriate care and funding for Dick's needs.
This takes up a good deal of my time and energy.
I have therefore taken the decision to close the shop side of things down.
It is not something I have arrived at lightly as YOU the customers have kept me sane
in the midst of the chaos that Alzheimer's brings.
The website will remain open for the time being also the beginners and block of the
month class will continue until the August.
I would like to thank all my loyal customers for your custom and support over the past
3-½ years that The Pumpkin Patch has been open.
In adversity you have made life fun for me and given me a reason to get up in the
morning.
I will therefore be having a MASSIVE stock clearance sale with greatly reduced
prices starting Friday 1st June between 10am-4pm whilst stocks last.
So come and bag a bargain, increase your stash or buy some fabric for backing all
those lovely quilts you are going to make.
Many many thanks for your custom and support over the years.
Happy stitching and very best wishes to you all for the future.

April 2007
So much for keeping up with the newsletter.
Here we are in the middle of April with the sun shining upon us and the garden
beckoning and I am getting ready for
Quilts UK at Malvern on the 17th-20th May
this is always a good event to kick off the quilting show calendar.
As usual there are lots of new fabrics coming into the shop one being
Chelsea Boutique from
Blackbird design.
I absolutely love it and along with this range come a new innovation from
Moda with there Jelly rolls, these are 40 x 2 ½ in strips of this wonderful new range
of fabrics.
I have been busy making up a large throw in the strips and have used the accompanying
fabric range to make a large throw for
The Pumpkin Patch stand at Malvern.
I shall also be doing a small show at
Childswickham NR Broadway
on the weekend of the
5th and 6th May.
This is always a nice exhibition with the proceeds going to -The Air Ambulance.
I can thoroughly recommend the tea and cakes that this group provides to add to what
is a nice day out with lots of lovely quilts.
Lots of you have been asking about the new class list.
I really have been up to my eyes in it with lots of personal problems since January
but hope after Malvern things will have settled down and I will post them on the website.
Hope to see you over the coming months.
January 2007
A very Happy New Year to all my Customers, let's hope it's a good one for everyone and that you achieve all you set out to achieve this coming year.
Please don't forget I would love to see those finished quilts.
Our January Sale will be on the 26th and 27th January. There will be fabrics from £4.00 per metre, a wonderful opportunity to buy and use as backing for all those quilt's you are going to complete this year. Plus 10% off normal stock for the 2 day period, so if you need wadding, now is the time to save a few extra pounds.
There are still available spaces for some of the workshops, so if you've been thinking of booking and were leaving it until the New Year to galvanise yourself into action, NOW's the time to pick up the phone or email for availability.
November 2006
November is here already with 3 new collections arriving in the shop, CORNUCOPIA from Fig Tree Quilts, Lovely warm tomato red's, chutney greens and wheat coloured neutrals, CHOCHOLAT from the Three Sisters unlike the name these are definitely calorie free.
Also a wonderful range from Robert Kaufman by quiltscape called Mary Rose 7. These are a soft palette of duck egg blue's soft greens and coffee with hints of dark pinks.
With this exciting new fabric I am spoilt for choice and have new quilts buzzing round in my head not knowing what to cut first!
Christmas isn't far away and we have a couple of new Christmas panels in stock, Also Mistletoe Manor a very understated range of pinky reds greens, neutrals and checks.
These are all on the website for you to browse.
